Regulators Overview

Overview

The Regulators is commonly viewed as a group of powerful and highly capable adventurers that conduct missions of almost any kind.

Little is known about the Regulators and their members. One thing that is certain, however, is that Bondo Natas and Beorn of Corandia are the founding members as well as the leaders of the group.

Background

It is commonly agreed upon that the group initially came into existence when Bondo and Beorn mysteriously detached themselves from the Hunting Devils. It is rumored that there is also another member who is formerly a Hunting Devil, namely Canyon, a powerful warrior. If Canyon is also a founding member of the Regulators is uncertain. It is believed, however, that he is still a member and has been so for quite a while.
Besides these three, it appears that the number of group members change often. If this is because of the group members actually dying or chooses to leave for some other reason is unknown. It is also speculated that there are several «sleeping» members which Beorn and Bondo can call upon when in need.

As of now, the group has no known headquartes, but they are often seen together in Shiraz and due to the fact that they are reportedly building a fortess in South Winds, it is assessed that this fortress will function as their future headquarters/safe haven.

The modus operandi of the group is likely to conduct missions of an adventure-like nature. If this is to gain powerful weapons, magic or money is not known, although they are reported to have gained a lot of these from earlier adventures. However, the group has also several times aided governments and leaders with national problems, something that lends support to the notion that the group has political driven motivation spanning across borders. It is also speculated that this type of aid has been reward driven.

The requirements to join the group is believed to be loyalty and trust as well as proficiency in occupation. Several reported encounters with the group has revealed that occupation is not necessarily a criteria as the group has on several occations been observed in major battle without a healer. However, the group most likely has access to healers as it has been speculated that several members has been resurrected after falling in battle. It is also believed that the group recruits out of necessity, something that is seen when looking at the composition of the group in regards to race, occupation and religious beliefs.

The group leaders, Bondo and Beorn, is reported to practice an including style of leadership that draws on the experience and specialty of the group members.

The present configuration of the group is unknown.

Known enemies of the group

The Hunting Devils. It is reported that the Hunting Devils and the Regulators are in constant conflict. It is speculated that this conflict is rooted in Beorn, Bondo and Canyon’s detachment from the sect. However, new speculations has arisen that the Regulators possess some powerful artifact that the Hunting Devils also desire. Some again claim that the Regulators are tolerated by the Hunting Devils since they are not viewed as powerful or influential enough to pose any real threat.
– Sir Lukas. It has been reported that Sir Lukas, an earlier ally, has become an enemy of the Regulators and indeed that he is responsible for several of the bounties put on the more prominent members of the group.
– The outlaws of Yin Sloth (See known missions => Political)

Known allies

It is difficult to list known allies in the correct meaning of the word, as the group appears to have had several temporary allies that has recruited them for missions but after paying them for completing the mission, can no longer be called allies.
It is known, however, that the group is still on good footing with the ruler of South Winds even though they no longer are employed by the state.
